Pasco County School’s faculty and staff hosted their first Financial Literacy Expo in conjunction with the Financial Planning Association of Tampa Bay at Wesley Chapel High School during April’s National Financial Literacy Month.
265 individuals registered for the Expo. 35 classes were taught by chapter members and other personal finance professionals. Topics included: into classes on Financial Planning, Retirement Planning/How To Begin, Estate Planning, College Funding, Budgeting, Insurance, Using Children’s Books to Teach Financial Literacy, College Scholarships and Financial Aid, Federal Reserve’s Preview of Free Online Resources for Consumers and Families, and Is A Career In Financial Planning for You?
Expo included 24 table top displays representing the Federal Reserve, banks, credit union, USF Personal Financial Planning Degree Program and USF Admissions, insurance companies, attorneys, wealth management, and the Financial Planning Association of Tampa Bay.
