The Value Acceleration Methodology combines the “3 legs of the stool” (business, personal, and financial) into two concurrent paths. One path is focused on mitigating risk in the business, a business path, and the other is focused on the personal and personal-financial needs of the business owner, a personal-financial path. The process starts with an assessment of value, typically conducted by a value advisor (and typically not a financial advisor). Building a team that includes both the financial advisor and the value advisor is critical as they are the catalyst to everything exit planning. Further building out the team to include the CPA, attorney, and other core players is key for the most indispensable advisor to accomplish.
