Great Separation Series: Part 2: Mastering Client Conversations

As the great wealth transfer accelerates, the firms that remain relevant will not simply be those with stronger marketing or better technology. They will be those that communicate value clearly, build trust intentionally, support informed client decisions, and maintain planning continuity across life stages and generations.

Mastering Client Conversations: Discovery, Trust, and Decision-Making in Financial Planning

Register Today

Good financial planning begins with conversations that help clients feel understood, clarify what matters most, and make informed decisions with confidence.

Part 2 of The Great Separation explores how planners can move beyond routine fact-finding to uncover deeper priorities, communicate their value more meaningfully, and build the trust that strengthens planning relationships.

Developed in collaboration with PSBLTY, participants will consider whether their client conversations are:

  • Revealing the goals, concerns, and motivations that matter most.
  • Helping clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved.
  • Making the planner’s value clear through the quality of the conversation.
  • Helping clients understand choices, tradeoffs, and consequences.
  • Supporting informed decisions and stronger relationships over time.

The quality of the conversation shapes how clients experience the value of planning.
