Getting to the Finish Line: Part 3

Services, Tactics and Resources
to Help Clients Implement Estate Planning

Creating an estate plan is one thing. Helping clients successfully implement it is another.

FPA of Florida's four-part webinar series, Getting to the Finish Line, focuses on the practical tools, services and tactics that help planners move clients from intention to action to completion.

You'll explore three distince approaches: completing and funding plans, identifying gaps in existing plans, and using estate plan review to create better client conversations and next steps.

The series concludes with an interactive attendee discussion focused on what works, what gets in the way, and what you can put into practice.

Four sessions. $40. Practical ideas. One goal: helping more clients cross the finish line.

Estate planning does not have to begin with a complicated legal discussion.

Sometimes it begins with a few good questions.

A focused estate plan review can uncover outdated documents, unfunded trusts, overlooked assets, family changes and other planning issues that may otherwise remain hidden. It can also create an opportunity for the financial planner to better understand what matters to the client and connect estate planning to the broader financial planning relationship.

DMI University focuses on the advisor conversation—how to introduce the estate plan review, what to ask and how to recognize when a deeper discussion or additional expertise is needed.

In this session, attendees will explore practical questions, tools and tactics that can make estate plan review a more repeatable part of the client experience.

Why this session is different

This session is about engagement and conversation.

You’ll see how a relatively simple estate plan review can help uncover planning needs, create meaningful client conversations and strengthen the planner’s role in helping clients connect the pieces of their financial lives.
